On this project I designed and prototyped a user-centred application using wireframes and a pitch-ready concept. This was carried out in the same way it would be done in industry using research and problem solving skills. This process was helped by visititors from IBM running workshops. The prototype was created using Invision for both the screen designs and the prototyping. I micro animation was created using after effects.
This application aims to improve mental health problems which are caused by the feeling of isolation. With research suggesting that nearly everyone experiences this, it has the potential to be of interest to most people at different stages of their lives. I have also made considerations for other damaging factors within recipe creation such as food wastage and cost involved with living alone, this therefore can make the world better with the reduction of food wastage.

This app aims to bring together a platform of users all in the same situation, helping to inspire, to share and to utilise leftover food. It builds a community for people focused on the well-loved interest of food. You’re able to create a food profile that others can discover whilst you uncover new ideas and to add ease to cooking alone. It encourages people to take up more home cooking and therefore reducing the amount of fast foods consumed and turning a chore into a hobby.

Micro-animation using after effects that would be the loading screen for the app.

In addition a client report was formed to communicate the idea to corporate companies. This was made using the same brand identity and scheme to keep the design coherent.

The client report stated the apps aims, inspirations and why it is needed. In addition, highlights the UI and UX and how they work together as a system. Navigational tools are used throughout such as folios and running headers. The imagery demonstrates the app being used and displayed some of the main screens that users will see in the app.
